Via the Uboot environment I can get it booted into single user mode and I'm at a loss of what to look for from there. I'm guessing it's because the boot config sets those PW's so I need to clear that out. Unfortunately the PW's provided by the previous owner didn't work with any of the usernames provided and resetting to default apparently doesn't reset it to defaults. What happens is that if I let the switch boot all the way up I cannot log in via the serial connection but I can get at the OOB management port. I did get the out of band management port set to my network settings at least.
I am able to get to the serial console and into the Uboot environment, but all the instructions on resetting the PW's to default and resetting the config haven't gotten me anywhere. I got the switch without the necessary PW's to log in at the console. I am having a bit of trouble resetting a Brocade VDX 6740 network switch.
