He has also held leadership positions in a number of Islamic organizations. Malam helped spread Islamic knowledge among devout Muslims both inside and outside Yobe State as a result of his status as an Islamic scholar. He was loved and respected by his peers for his well-known Ramadan sermons. Often referred to as Malam Ba Goni, has spent the last 30 years developing his expertise in the field of Quranic interpretation (Tafsir) after attending a variety of informal Quranic schools. He was enrolled in Babuje Primary School in Gashua from 1974 to 1980, and from 1980 to 1986, he attended Government Secondary School in Jakusko. Sheikh Aisami Goni رَحِمَهُ ٱللَّٰهُ was born in June 1968 in Gashua, Yobe state’s Bade Local Government Area.
